STUFFED BELL PEPPERS

7 bell peppers
1 large onion
5 toes garlic
1 1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 lb ground beef
1 tsp allspice
butter
salt & pepper to taste

Boil 6 bell peppers cut in half for two minutes to soften and set aside.

Chop onions, garlic and one bell pepper and saute in 2 - 3 tablespoons of butter in large pan until soft. Brown meat. (drain the oil from the meat) Add browned meat, bread crumbs, allspice, salt and pepper to pan and mix well. Stuff peppers. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top and pat of butter on each.

Place bell peppers in casserole dish and add small amount of water to cover the bottom of dish. Cook for 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
