Snake Plant or Mother-In-Law's Tongue has long slender leaves that come to a point. The leaves are green with a yellow border. Some plants may not have a yellow border. You can cut part of a leaf, stick it in the soil and later it will make another plant. The new plant will not have a yellow border.
The snake plant or mother-in-law's tongue may make a flower stalk when the it becomes pot-bound. The flowers will open at night and are very fragrant. Click On The Picture To Enlarge. (The first picture is when I first received the plant. The second picture is from a few years later when the plant became crowded in the pot and produced a flower stalk.) Easy to care for. Soil should dry out before watering. Bright, indirect sunlight.
